You are the KEY

I have talked to many people lately that have been frustrated in a search for the "perfect" church or place to gather with others, often at times as a result of having been disappointed at past places. With so many church gatherings around us, why do so many find it hard at times to find a place to connect with? I have sought that question many times and God just keeps saying "What IF it isn't about what you can get from the church, rather what you can BRING to the church?" Wow! Now that is a change in perspective for sure. How many of us are searching for the perfect place to meet OUR needs? When God wants us to FILL a need! If we can see ourselves as an asset somewhere rather than just being a person warming a chair getting fed (hopefully), then our focus doesn't need to be on finding the place that fits our "perfect niche". 😉 The word connection means "the state of being connected" or "a relationship in which a person, thing, or idea is linked". When we bring something to a place, to a church, to a ministry and such we are bringing connection. Think of it like this -- we are the Body of Christ, we are the church -- the building. When a building is being constructed, there are many different materials that are brought to build it. Those materials all bring something different to the construction of that house and the beauty of it once built. Those materials, although different, are all connected to that very structure. They bring something unique; whether it be strength, stability, protection and so on. We are a connection with God and to His Kingdom and with each other we are STRONG and can accomplish much! We are the very piece, that connecting factor that is the KEY to bringing those on the outside to the INSIDE! #getconnected#fillaneed
