LIVE in Freedom

Over this past year, the Lord has really been speaking to me about FREEDOM.

I recalled a vision I had awhile back where I saw a man in chains, wrapped all the way around from head to toe and bound with a lock. The enemy stood in the shadows laughing and taunting this man saying that he would never free him from these chains. The man would struggle to loosen himself but the more he struggled in his own efforts, the tighter the chains became. Then I could see the Almighty Hand of God outstretched towards the man holding a key. "You are already FREE".

God doesn't want His children to walk like slaves to the world any longer. The enemy will constantly try and deceive you into believing that you are still bound in chains but "you were bought at a price.." (1 Corinthians 6:20; 7:23) through the life blood of Christ who made redemption for His people. God made a most loving ultimate sacrifice through His Son so that we could have eternal life and freedom in Him.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).

But it doesn't stop there!! He doesn't just want us to HAVE eternal freedom, He wants us to LIVE in eternal freedom. The definition of HAVE means to possess, own, or hold. The definition of LIVE means to remain alive or to make one's home in a particular place or with a particular person. That man in the story above already HAD freedom from bondage, but he wasn't LIVING in it.

As children of God, we have the glorious honor of being a part of the royal family of the Kingdom of Heaven. We are no longer slaves to the world.

So let's LIVE in it! Become ALIVE in it! Breathe in it, reside in it, and make it our permanent place!!
