Dangers lurking in the water

This past week I had a dream where I crossed over a wooden ramp from the shore (that was above water) to these set of "floating docks" on the water. As I crossed over I saw all these people swimming in the water and having a lot of FUN!

I knew once I crossed that within the water was DANGER! The people in the water were trying to "coax" me into swimming in the water with them. Although not seen by the natural eye, I knew that this water was full of alligators and dangerous things. I said "I'm not getting in there. Don't you know that is dangerous water?" The people seemed oblivious to the danger lurking in the water.

I began to go back up across the wooden ramp to the shore and as I did, I fell through an open spot but was able to grab a hold of the ramp. I was dangling there under the ramp hoping that I would not fall into the dangerous water. From this angle I could see that the water was cloudy and dirty.

"Rich" came to the ramp and pulled me up to safety. *end of dream*

God showed me some things in relation to this dream this past week. He especially identified the dangers in the water as being the spirit of Leviathan. This spirit is a "twister" of the Truth which brings confusion and chaos and influences those who walk in pride and self-righteousness. It loves to "hide" and will lurk within the life of a church, ready to strike when the right opportunity comes. Even though it "hides" itself, it can have a powerful effect on the people, marriages and families within the church bringing much division.

God was been showing me that the polluted water was full of man's doctrine and that "spiritual discernment" would identify it. It will be "alluring" on the surface. And even though it would be "called out" because of it's strong deception, there needed to be a safe "crossing over" by those who discerned it onto the shore before it could be dealt with.
